So does everyone on this planet have the same intelligence level? That brings up the question of pets and colonies of less evolved creatures in the wilderness (or in the cities, though I'm sure that'd be chaotic.. And someone would probably try to take advantage of them). And are the furs alien-based, animal-based or both? Is there any set look for the Zyans? There's a general set of characteristics for every other species, like pointy ears for elves. There should be a sub-board in every city for the "alleyways", or at least the shady part of the town where thieves and assassins can get jobs. Or the black market.. Just the shady area. There should probably be one town that has the most imfamous underground businesses. And like a mafia thing. Heheh.
What should be done for a creature that doesn't want to live in a set spot? As an example, take Arthur, the burly wolf anthro. He was born in a remote village, (speaking of which, there should be some. Maybe like a bunch of them in a mountain. Dunno) but that's far back in his past. He is somewhat of a highwayman, constantly travelling Xyanen with a group of other wolves. They don't live in any town, though they might rent a room in an inn as they pass through a city. But there's gotta be a headquarters somewhere. What would we do about that?
- Headquarters for travelling bands
- inns or apartments
- mountains with villages, or just mountains with room for future villages
- pets, lower evolved species
- Alleyways, black markets
- Physical Zyan features

Well, like we said we're starting small. Very small. This site is going to run ALL THE WAY on user interaction as opposed to Sasqui that runs on user/moderator interaction. This is why we don't have as many subboards, as many travel spots. Those will be added as the site gets larger. Who knows? Once we get all these characters started with the people we currently have, it might be time to add some of this stuff we were holding back on.
I don't see how headquarters would be a good thing to have right now, since we don't have any 'bands'. Everything we add will be the outcome of what we roleplay.
If your character gets turned into a werewolf. Then, another character gets turned into a werewolf and they team up. And soon after, we have a pack of five or six that chose to live in a foresty area outside of Lybia, THEN we would put something to show that without fear of it causing inactivity.
Not only that, but the site isn't done. This isn't even close to it, Tisari and I simply got tired of working on it and decided if we started roleplaying in the world we can figure out what it needs.
As for the lower evolved species, they exist we just can't be them. It's another thing we're starting small for. Once activity grows, we will allow the creation of dragons and unevolved creatures. If your character is traveling, a mod might have one appear just for the fun of it. There is a marketplace already in Lybian that will include a small creature market.
^^; I hope that helped explain things. I talked through all of this with Kai and Tisari and thought you guys could magically read our minds without putting it in a board haha.

Ah, right.. Haha, I was really getting ahead of myself there.
So can you be a wolf anthro? I'm just making sure that doesn't mean a werewolf.. Since the anthro doesn't have shapeshifting powers, it wouldn't be. But if it learned shapeshifting powers and could turn into a human, would it be considered a werewolf? [/center]

Anthropomorphs cannot shift. ;D If you look at the classes board thing then you can see what all the classes can do.

So, what's the dealio with weapons? Do we start out with anything aka free starter item? Will this starter item be an actual weapon, or will we let the character choose out of many weapons each with a specific characteristic? (example: Shamahlalalahka can choose between a hammer for strength, a dagger for speed and accuracy, a magic scroll or something, etc.) Or they can choose what kind of item they get (weapon, magical item, potion) and they can clue in the details on their own for what they want, rather than forced to pick a weapon made up by us. Of course, we have to monitor this, but I just feel like we should give some freedom with the tools the characters use. [/center]

I think, instead of a weapon we should just give each character a small amount of money to start with. That way they have complete freedom to do whatever they want with it. But, it would have to be small so someone doesn't just be like, "Rah I buy this mega super rare bracelet of invisibility~" and then they kill everyone and it's fun. ;D No, it'll be like.. the most you could buy is a small dagger or something, and a potion. >.> or something.

For the situation of starting characters I think you should give them a pack of items (Optional) for them to start out and a bit of money. I say this because no one ever starts out with just nothing but a little money to start buying stuff.
Don't want to be a dork or anything but I think for things like items you should offer a list of this for them to pick in each section. That's what they do in D&D and it works really good. Now, for the D&D they have a list of weapons (simple, martial, exotic, etc.) then armor, shield, projectiles (as in arrows or bullets but I think this would be better sold in stores) and you would only be allowed to pick on of each or some of some things depending on the class. Then there is a list of adventuring gear and tool and skill kits, now for this you could offer a specific number of that and the people will have to work with that. It will take extra time planning these things but I can easily make these kinds of list since I already make these for my LARP events at school.
Well its really just an idea.
